A journey through a lush tropical land of palm fringed beaches, colonial architecture,
thatched villages and quite backwaters. The excitement of the Tiger jungles
of Nagarhole gives way to the fading glory of snooty Ooty. The south
is a crossroad for the varied cultures that have left their many churches, palaces,
forts and temples to enrich this cosmopolitan community. You can either end
your tour relaxing on a beautiful beach near the tip of India or continue on
to the North again through the temple Towns of Madurai and Trichy
Day 01 : Delhi to Mandawa
After breakfast leave for Mandawa located in the Shekhavati region of north
west Rajasthan.
Day 02 : Mandawa to Bikaner
This morning visit the havelis ( Traditional houses ) around the village and
later drive to Bikaner, a heavily fortified fort-city famous for its camel
farm and colourful people.
Day 03 : Bikaner to Khimsar
In the morning visit the 16th century fort. Also visit the local camel breeding
farm and later drive for Khimsar. In the evening go to the desert by jeeps
to see the sunset and to spot antelop , peacock and deer.
Day 04 : Khimsar to Jaisalmer
Continue via the Hindu and Jain temples at Osiyan to the ancient city of Jaisalmer.
Standing on the low range of hills in the Thar desrt , this perfect Rajout
walled city one of the Indias most colourful and fascinating places.
Day 05 : Jaisalmer
This morning visit Gadisar Sagar, a natural oasis with a beautiful archwayand
water-side temples. Also visit the fort built in 1156 and walk through the
lanes to view the magnificiently carved havelis. Afternoon drive outside the
city to see Amar sagar and to sunset point for a superb view of the city.
Day 06 : Jaisalmer to Jodhpur
After breakfast drive to Jodhpur with its massive 15th century fort in the
most spectacular of cliff top settings. In the afternoon visit the fort.
Day 07 : Jodhpur to Jaipur
This morning continue to the colourful city of Jaipur, the state capital of
Rajasthan. That owes its name, foundation and planning to Maharaja Jai Singh
II who founded the city in 1727. Jaipur is noted for its varied handicrafts
and bustling bazars.
Day 08 : Jaipur
Morning drive out of the hills beyond the city and ascend by painted elephant
to the magnificient fortress palace at Amber. Afternoon visit the city palace
complex consisting of the Hawa Mahal, principal palace rooms containing the
museum and the near by Jantar Mantar observatory.
Day 09 : Jaipur to Agra
After breakfast leave for Agra, visiting enroute the abandoned city of Fateh
Pur Sikri which is said to be the best preserved and most complete Moghal
palace city of all. In the afternoon continue to Agra.
Day 10 : Agra to Delhi
This morning visit the city to see the Tajmahal and Agra fort noted for its
fine views of Taj from across the Yamuna river. Later in the afternoon drive
to Delhi.
Day 11 : Delhi to Banglore
Today fly to Banglore and later tour this former British garrison town.
Day 12 : Banglore Hassa
Depart
this morning to the Jain pilgrimage site at Sravanabelogala. Continue to Hassan
and in the afternoon visit the temples at Belur and Halebid.
Day 13 : Hassan to Mysore
Today drive south to the rural town of Mysore. Later drive through the town
and visit the Brindavan gardens.
Day 14 : Mysore
This morning visit Chamundi hill before continuing to Srirangapatna to see
the ruins of Tipu Sultans capital and Somnathpur, the finest Hoysala
temple of all.
Day 15 : Mysore to Nagarhole
Just 90km to the south-west of Mysore lies Nagarhole National park, noted
for elephant, tiger, crocodile, leopard and a rich variety of bird life.
Day 16 : Nagarhole

Day 17 : Nagahole to Ooty
Morning drive to Ooty , the famous Raj hill station in the Nilgri hills.
Day 18 : Ooty to cochin
Drive south to the Malabar coast and to Cochin. Over the centuries the Portuguese,
dutch
and British have all influenced this city which is known as the venice
of the East
Day 19 : Cochin
This morning visit the Synagogue, Dutch palace, St. Francis church and spice
market. In the afternoon, take harbour cruise to see some of the nearby Islands.
Day 20 : Cochin to Kovlam Beach
After breakfast drive along the cost through the Allepey town to Kovlam.
